new Jetty at Road Bay, Anguilla
Client: Anguilla Air & Sea Port Authority
2020-2021
Techniques: Marine piling and concrete works
Intrepid’s first port project. The client was the Anguilla Port Authority and the funding party was the UK Government. The jetty was a very old fashioned design. The entire jetty was cast in-situ. Intrepid designed a bespoke formwork system using temporary piles which was very successful and fast. In addition to the technical challenges of an insitu jetty Intrepid also had to, like the rest of the world, deal with the COVID outbreak. We had mobilised our team to Anguilla at the start of 2020 and when the lock downs started it meant that some of our team did not get a break from the job until Christmas 2020.
